I’m a big advocate for choosing your favorite treat and enjoying it on the holiday itself…⁣

However, Halloween is only on October 31st, not all month long. 😉⁣

While there is nothing wrong with having a special treat from time to time, don’t let it turn into a month-long sugar binge just because there’s more candy around than normal. ⁣

MRT is a blood test that measures the mediators in your blood after it is introduced to a food or food chemical.

NAFLD is very common in the lipedema community as

NAFLD is very common in the lipedema community as well as for people who are struggling with overweight or obesity.
What is NAFLD? 🤔
It means that 5% of your liver is triglycerides and the liver is retaining fatty acids. The lipid retention slows nutrient absorption and the liver’s ability to clean your blood from toxins.
This in turn causes more inflammation in the body, since NAFLD causes you to carry a more toxic load.
So, what causes NAFLD?
1️⃣ High fructose corn syrup or other highly refined forms of fructose are a big culprit. This is found in many condiments, so be sure to take a peek at what you’re buying and look for other alternatives when you can.
2️⃣ Processed and refined carbohydrates are another food to watch out for. Things like pasta, cereal, and granola bars all contain added sugars and processed grains that contain no fiber.
So my friends, take an inventory of your pantry and fridge and take a look at some of those staples you’re buying regularly.
⭐️ One more thing friends…. Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) will now be referred to as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) so if you see these names used interchangeably, please know this is the same condition!
